Case Study: 3D Printed Edge-Lit Channel Letters

 

Stacked - Edge-Lit Channel Letters

 

These edge-lit letters were produced on the MINGDA AD-F4 using a combination of black and translucent PETG to create a halo lighting effect. The profile was generated from vector artwork using the included 2D-to-3D software, with 3 mm opal acrylic backs completing the illuminated assembly. The project demonstrates how different materials can be combined to create custom lighting effects while reducing the need for traditional fabrication methods.
